Thunderhead

~

Top lit thunder heads
Those fearful breasts of heaven
Our mouths open wide

This marks the end of National Poetry Month. I have only wetted my whistle heh heh.

Thanks, Goat, for letting me play. Here a few final shots for April. They're separate works; so clear your brain between -- no hidden connection here. I may post more on my home page in the near future... we'll see.

bellicosity
circulates viscous crimson
rage undetected

sapphire skies moon rise
cyclic apparition haunts
memory of you

(and my personal favorite I've been saving for 30 days:)
decapitated
giant sleeping in the woods
I see St. Helens

Thanks again! Blessings upon blessings, friend!

i have to hand it to you Craig... you successfully fooled us all. I was even THIS close to closing down my blog thanks to the creepy guy following only our family blog sites. I'm glad to know it was just my weird brother-in-law, and not some weird stranger :)

Oh, Pig Woman! You're like my FAVORITE commentator. Let's not make the rest of us suffer for one incorrigible joker. Pretty please...

Did I ever tell you about the time after we were just married that he though it would be HILARIOUS for both of us if he woke me up from a dead sleep with a squirt bottle?! Yes, that's right, a SQUIRT BOTTLE. Let's just say we have RULES about squirt bottles now!

Besides, I thought your comments to EP were quite lovely.

Plus, EP actually learned A LOT about poetry. It was so cute to see him there using a thesaurus and counting syllables in his own comedy little way. Why I couldn't have gotten him doing that under penalty of DEATH.

Anyway, LOVE you. Don't go away...

So now all the haiku are gone--all the terrific comments lost.

This is a great sadness. The responses were probably more important than the haiku. Proves we have heart for one another. Makes poetry what it should be.

Congratulations Pig Woman!!! You discovered the correct word for the blank. Now tell me the truth, knowing the full story isn't it hilarious? Also, you should go back and read the old entries on the EP site... they Bethany and I have been laughing at EPisms all month!
